My family and I went to Panama, and the food was scrumptious. I went to a cool restaurant called Fonda Lo Que Hay in Panama City, and I tried something really yummy – octopus! I was excited, because this was one of the top 50 in the region.

The  name of the restaurant is Fonda Lo Que Hay in Casco Viejo .

Yep, that’s me asking my mom for more of her octopus – it was sooo good!

It turned out to be the best thing ever! The octopus was cooked perfectly.  It was grilled in green curry that I also loved.

My dad’s tortilla de maíz was an unexpected treat as well.

The restaurant was fun and had a nice vibe. The people who worked there were welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. I loved the food and the atmosphere, and I think anyone who likes Panamanian  food should go to Fonda Lo Que Hay and try their octopus!

The huge windows and decorative tile floors at Tiempos Cafe were beautiful in the morning sun.

The next morning, I had breakfast at Tiempos Cafe in the American Trade Hotel, and it was amazing! The food there is really tasty, and I had a great time eating breakfast. (Even though it was a little messy)

First, I tried their fruit bowl which was filled with nice, soft and sweet fruit – fresh watermelon, bananas, papaya and pineapples were all locally grown. They were delicious! Then, I tried the Pancakes. They were topped with syrup and more fresh fruit that made them taste extra yummy.

The café has a nice and open feel, and the people who worked there were really kind and helpful. They gave us cold water to drink.

Overall, the breakfast at Tiempos Cafe was super yummy and a great way to start the day. If you’re staying in Panama City  or just visiting, you should definitely try their breakfast!

Ok. This is my first blog. My mom and I, with technical support from Dad will be here regularly. We’ll be sharing our travels through posts like this, as well as recipes we try making at home. Hopefully, this will be a fun place to experience new and interesting restaurants and foods.
